For one of our top clients, multinational company leader in its field, we are currently looking to recruit a Sustainability Compliance Auditor based in Bucharest office who should be opened to business traveling also.

The role has a permanent contract in a a company offering long term career opportunities, including the possibility of an international career.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and perform Social and Environmental audits, assessments in accordance with companies working procedures;
• Responsible to gather and analyze information and facts to draw conclusions about compliance/non compliance, using auditing methods including in-depth interviews with individual and/or group interviews with different parties at suppliers;
• Responsible for root cause analysis of non-compliance and for creating understanding for supplier in order to achieve compliance;
• Responsible to perform other sustainability compliance verification activities related, such as traceability verification for critical materials and animal welfare; supply chain security
• Update all relevant systems , in accordance with the working methods;
• Support with input about applicable legislation;


Role Requirements

• Fluent in English;
• Experience in working as an auditor in engineering/production area;
• Preferably Technical University degree in Environmental engineering or in any other related field;
• Good understanding of the different production and operation processes and the material characteristics and ability to audit and analyze working conditions and environmental performance;
• Good knowledge of local legislation for different processes and operations with regard to environmental, health and safety, and labour law;
• Preferable previous exposure to ISO, ISHSAS 18001, SA 8000 standards;
• Availability for travelling in the country and abroad;
• Driving licence, an active driver – the person on this role will be traveling by car or by airplane ;
• Improvement driven, with a “hands on” practical approach to his/her work;
• Ability to understand the big picture
• A good communicator, both verbal and written, assertive;
• Ability to lead in a multinational environment
• Honest and with high integrity;
• Energetic.
